There is only a slight difference between the two but it is still noticeable.

My poster for the series re-creation
Im in two minds which poster I will be chosing, I have one with a worn out texture on top which gives the poster a more supernatural feel but the other without it shows the images within more clearly, any advice form anyone? opinions?

Collaboration work
As part of our major project we had to collaborate with another member of the course and try to immitate the style of them. I decided to work with Owain Emanuel on his Lion King re-creation. I decided to design his expression sheets for Scar and his in situation for Scar. I have completed the Expression sheets and am currently working on the in situ shots. So here they are.

Bobby character action poses done!!
Heres the poses I have created for the character Bobby Singer. I haven't made them too extreme as they would not suit the character and would look to drastic for my chosen style.

Montage characters coloured up
I have finished colouring the montage images for the title sequence. I used simple block colours and heavy shadows to make them look different from the silhouette character that the sequence will be cutting back and forth from. I am pleased with these characters. Its is nice to use a more simple approach instead of a more detailed one like i'm doing in the series recreation. I have used the colour of the countries' jerseys' for each of the character but not put an emblem on it as the emblem will be seen on the heart pumping shots.

Title sequence Montage characters
Its been a while since I last updated about my title sequence work as I needed to catch up with the series re-creation work. I have drawn out my montage characters now and are ready to colour tomorrow morning. I then have to create a background for them and re-animate some parts of my title sequence.
Anyway here are the characters so far. There are 6 in total. I will be colouring these using heavy shadow and then in the other areas of the character I will be implying the colours of the countries flag on the body. Trying to make it a bit more subtle.

Another set of expressions done!!! Just one more to go
These are the expressions for the character Sam Winchester. These were a bit more fun to create as this character has some quite strong features to draw. Again, starting with initial concepts and then taking some of the ones I thouight were more succesful and colouring them up.....

My Last in Situ Shot completed
This is my final in situation shot for the character Castiel. I kept the colour quite similar to that in the episode in which he appears for the first time. I think it works quite well. I still have a few things to tweak, such as the lighting and a few areas to clean up. I kept the wing silhouette quite subtle but just enough to see. With all of my in situation shots I have tried to create an atmospheric feel. I think it works fairly effective for the theme of the series. here it is............
some work from my last in situation shot
Here are some of the concepts for my last in situation shot for the character Castiel. The idea behind this is to take one of the main shota in the series when one of the characters first meets the angel character Castiel. It is situated in a barn and the walls and floor are covered in various supernatural symbols, as they do not know what to expect before he arrives. Finally, revealing he is an angel. As he enters the barn, all the lights explode and a shadowed silhouette of his wings appear behind him on the wall. As he is not an evil character I did not want to create a sinister feel to the shot.
Anyway here are some of the images I used.....

In situation Castiel. A quite neutral pose. Not to sinister. Similar to that in the series. |

More series re-creation work
Been a while since my last update. Mainly due to me having trouble developing some of my turn-arounds and having to re-design one of my in situation shots. I re-designed my in situation shot for my character Bobby. The perspective is much better in this one and so it is finished...finally!!! So here it is. I am pleased with the outcome. Especially now the perspective is better. There are still a few tweaks that could be made but its time to move on, but overall I am happy with the eerie, atmospheric feel the design has. Which I intended to create.
I am currently working on my last in situation shot and poster idea.
Above is my turnaround for the character Castiel. This proved a challenge for me as everytime I drew the coat from various angles it looked to much like a block and it seemed it had no structure underneath. Forcing me basically to re-design my character. Anyway, here it is. I am fairly happy with the outcome.
My finished Lilith character. I gave this a bit more air brushed effect when colouring, to give it a more younger, delicate feel to it. To emphasise the innocence of her appearance even though she is evil.
