New collaboration work

Scrap everything I've said so far about collaboration. Me and other 2d students have now created a brief for a online flash game. (Basing the characters on ourselves) The idea is, two animators called Owen and Nate wake up in the 2d classroom in the ATRiuM Cardiff. When they wake up they find out that the University is full of Zombies, sent by a fromer student Willy Chang. The aim of the game is to stay alive and to get out of the ATRiuM before it is locked for good. On their way Nate and Owen find another to survivors Jake the Snake and Dai. You can play as all four players and each have their own weapon.

My part of the collaboration is to design the characters Nate and Zombie Sean. i am still working on Zombie Sean but here is the character development and final character for Nate.

All in situs finished!

I have FIIINNNNAAAALLLY finished all my in situation shots, so here they are.......

my last in situ 75% complete

Here is my alley way in situ, its nearly complete but there are a few more things that I need to add, such as lighting in areas and a few more objects in the alley to give it that more clustered atmosphere. I am quite happy with this, especially the backdrop (the sky) and the actual characters in shot. I think they work fairly well together.....

My title sequence storyboards

I found this project quite hard to be honest. I had to create an animatic for the 6 nations opening. I tried to incorporate aspects from previous title sequences in my idea. There are aspects I am happy with such as the silhouette imagery as I think they worked well. The montage sequences are the weakest areas of my work. I think they could have been developed further. I think with some of the images thye slightly cheapen the overall feel of the title sequence evenm though if this was to be produced the montage areas would be replaced with real game play. Anyway here is my storyboard............

Re-designing my first in situ

My initial in situation shot of the alley way now looks a little out of place compared to the two others I have created so I had to re-design this. I began with creating a basic google sketch up image to get the perspective I wanted. So here it is so far...........
